Day 1
Arrival at Athens International Airport. Meet our representative
and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day at
leisure. We suggest you visit the Old Part of town, Plaka,
and eat at the Traditional "tavernas." Overnight.
Day 2
After breakfast, depart for your sightseeing tour of Athens.
Visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square,
the Royal Palace, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, The Thesseum,
The Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Flea Market of Monastiraki,
The Academy and, last but not least, the Acropolis and its
Museum. Return to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 3
After breakfast, enjoy your morning at leisure. In the afternoon,
meet our representative and transfer to Piraeus port to
embark on the vessel for your 7-Day Greek Island & Turkey
Cruise. Enjoy the many activities aboard the ship, or just
relax enjoying the scenery while sailing to your first port
of call, Thessaloniki.
Day 4
Morning arrival in Thessaloniki, known as the Nymph of North,
cultural capital of Europe. Afternoon departure to Konstantinoupolis
(Istanbul).
Day 5
Arrival in Konstantinoupolis (Istanbul) the crossroad of
Europe and Asia. Explore the fascinating city. Take an optional
tour to visit the famous St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque and
the Topkapi Palace, or visit the Grand Open Bazzars, the
largest in the world and one of the most famous. Night departure
to Mykonos.
Day 6
Morning at sea. Afternoon arrival at Mykonos, with its rustic
windmills, churches, whitewashed houses, beautiful beaches
and the cosmopolitan nightlife, which have made this Cycladic
Island the island of choice for the rich and famous of the
world.
Day 7
Early morning arrival in Kusadasi, with opporunity to visit
one of the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World," the ancient
Greek City of Ephesus. Wander among the many famous bazaars,
or tour Ephesus (optional excursion). Noon departure for
Patmos, the site of the Monastery of St. John the Divine.
At night, sail for the Island of Rhodes.
Day 8
Arrival in the morning to the Island of Roses, Rhodes, famous
for its historic Medieval Town, great shopping, and the
site of the Colossus of Rhodes. Visit the Temple of Athena
on Acropolis of Lindos (optional), or stroll around the
medieval Castle and the famous Street of the Knights of
St. John. You may also visit, on your own, the Valley of
the Butterflies and Kamiros.
Day 9
Morning arrival at Heraklion Crete, the site of the Palace
of Knossos, legendary home of the Minotaur. Afterward, sail
to Santorini. The village is perched on the rim of an ancient
volcano and believed by many to be the site of the Lost
Continent of Atlantis.
Day 10
Early morning arrival into the port of Piraeus. After disembarkation,
meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Rest
of the day at leisure. Visit the elite district of Kolonaki,
with its fashionable shops, or have a cup of coffee at the
numerous coffee shops in the area.
Day 11
After breakfast, meet our representative and transfer to
the airport for your departure.
